Privacy policy
TradeGuard is a Chrome extension that watches your P&L on trading platforms and locks trading when you reach the limits you set. Here is exactly what it touches.
What TradeGuard reads
On the trading platforms you use it with, the extension reads the numbers shown on screen: account balance, open P&L, closed P&L, position size and, if you choose, the account name. It needs these to check your rules.
On a platform you add yourself, it only reads the numbers you clicked when you set that platform up.
It never reads your passwords, never reads your messages, and never sees pages that aren’t trading platforms you allowed.
Where it is kept
Your trading data stays in your own browser, in the extension’s local storage: your rules, each account’s numbers for the day, your discipline score and your trade history.
The TradeGuard dashboard reads the same data from your browser to show it to you. These live numbers are never sent to TradeGuard’s servers.
Your journal
If you use the journal, what you put in it is saved to your TradeGuard account so you can see it on any device: the trade screenshots you paste, the boxes you tick, the result, how you felt, your answers and your notes.
It is private to you. Each account can only read its own journal, and screenshots are kept in a private storage folder that only your account can open.
You can delete any trade or note from the journal at any time, and it is deleted with your account.
Your TradeGuard account
To use TradeGuard you create an account, with Google or with an email and password. We store your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture. Passwords are stored encrypted by our login provider; we never see them.
We also store your plan: when your free trial ends, which plan you pay for, whether it is active, and when it renews.
Accounts are run on Supabase, with servers in the European Union.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach TradeGuard. We only receive what we need to run your plan: a customer reference, the plan, its status and its renewal date.
You can change plan, update your card, see your invoices or cancel at any time from Settings, under Manage billing.
What it never does
It never places, changes or closes a trade.
It never sells or shares your data, and never uses it for ads.
It never tracks what you browse, and the website uses no ad trackers and no cookies for tracking.
The website counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and collects no personal data: only page views, the page you came from and your country, so we can see which pages are useful.
Deleting your data
Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored. You can also remove a single platform from the extension’s menu.
To delete your TradeGuard account and everything stored with it, email us from the address on your account and we will delete it within 30 days. Payment records Stripe must keep by law stay with Stripe.
